At Syracuse University, experiential pedagogy and practice are defined as the intentional design, support and study of authentic learning opportunities that bridge theory and practice. These experiences simulate, model or anticipate real-world professional and civic contexts and are grounded in mutually beneficial partnerships across campus and the broader community. In the academic strategic plan, experiential inquiry integrates core principles from both experiential learning and inquiry-based learning.
