Syracuse University’s presence in Washington, D.C. places faculty, staff and students at the heart of American democracy, policymaking and national media. The University’s dedicated center, located in the iconic Dupont Circle neighborhood, opened in 2024. 

Facility Highlights 

  • More than 13,000 square feet of dedicated space at 1333 New Hampshire Avenue—walking distance from the White House, Capitol Hill, federal agencies, embassies and major national media organizations 
  • Classroom and seminar spaces supporting both semester-long programs and short intensive programs and immersion experiences  
  • Event and convening spaces for hosting public programs, speaker series, faculty-led conferences and alumni events 

Faculty Opportunities 

  • Develop programs that draw upon the resources available in the nation’s capital   
  • Conduct policy-relevant research with access to federal agencies, congressional offices, national archives, think tanks and international organizations
