“Form A, or Bust!” (FAB) faculty: Preparing for the Tenure Review
The Office of Faculty Affairs is committed to supporting tenure-track faculty during the critical period between their reappointment review and the submission of tenure materials. We call this group “Form A, or Bust!” (or FAB) faculty, in reference to the standard dossier that all tenure candidates must complete. Faculty join this cohort in the spring of their third year and continue in it through the spring of their fifth year.
Peer Support Network
FAB Faculty can build connections with peers at the same stage of the tenure process through a Microsoft Teams space hosted by the Office of Faculty Affairs, where they can ask questions, share insights and offer mutual support while preparing for tenure review.
In-Person Meetups
Each semester, the Office of Faculty Affairs hosts informal gatherings with guest speakers and recently tenured faculty. These events are designed to provide space for candid conversation, mentorship and community building.
Ongoing Feedback and Tailored Resources
Faculty affairs staff seeks to continuously adapt support based on faculty input. Faculty are encouraged to let them know what resources or guidance would be most helpful.
