The Office of the Associate Provost for Strategic Initiatives was created to strengthen the academic experience—research, teaching and scholarship—and extend its impact beyond the classroom through connections to diverse campus and community-based programs and initiatives. Under the leadership of Associate Provost Marcelle Haddix, the office focuses on the power of exposure to the arts and humanities, and the appreciation of diverse cultures, to shape the student experience. The work of the office underlines the University’s commitment to preparing students who are engaged citizens and leaders.
