Our Time Has Come (OTHC) offers a transformative experience designed to foster leadership development, professional growth and community engagement. This comprehensive initiative supports students through mentorship, career guidance and skill-building opportunities. By connecting with a network of ambitious peers, accomplished alumni and industry partners, OTHC participants gain the resources and support they need to excel during their time at Syracuse University and beyond.
Who Can Apply?
OTHC is open to full- and part-time Syracuse University students with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and demonstrate financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid through FAFSA submission. Students are selected through an application process that includes essays, a resume and two letters of recommendation.

Participation Requirements
- Active Engagement: Commit to being an active participant in all scheduled activities.
- Monthly Leadership Seminars: Join TED Talk-style presentations by successful professionals, scheduled monthly on Saturday mornings.
- Community Meetings: Engage in monthly Friday afternoon sessions and other workshops where students share ideas and support one another.
- Individual Guidance Sessions: Meet with the assistant director of scholarship programs at least once each semester to maximize your program benefits.
- Events: Participate in events hosted by the Office of Multicultural Advancement, such as Coming Back Together.
- Volunteer: Support events organized by the Office of Multicultural Advancement and partners.

Students are selected for OTHC through an application process. The application period for the 2025–26 academic year is now closed. The 2026-27 application will be posted here in January.
