Additional information, advice and guidance for new faculty is available in the New Faculty Resources Blackboard organization. As soon as you have a Syracuse University NetID (the part of your email before the “@syr.edu”), or after July 1 each year (whichever is later), navigate to blackboard.syracuse.edu.
- Log in using your NetID and password.
- Select “Organizations” from the left menu.
- Select “New Faculty Resources” from your list of organizations. If you don’t see the organization, try searching for “new.”
The New Faculty Resources organization is structured in a way that makes it easy for you to find information about:
Onboarding: including information about Human Resources benefits, parking and getting an ID card.
Essential resources: programs and guidance that get our top rating, and are the most important to your long-term success.
Events: you will find handouts, slides or recordings (where available), organized by year, that cover workshops you attended or were unable to attend.
Local and regional information: links and directories of community resources like state and county parks, historic sites, performance venues and more.
