Studies show that attention to student health and wellbeing is a key component to supporting student academic success. For nine months of the year, Syracuse University is our students’ home away from home. As such we take seriously the responsibility to foster a safe and supportive campus atmosphere for all and to provide services that are robust enough to support students’ physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Recreational services and facilities provide a valuable outlet for stress relief, for promoting good physical health, and for fostering a sense of community and building connections through shared recreational interests. Health services ensure that students have a place to turn when they need medical attention. The Counseling Center and Office of Student Assistance provide a range of services to promote student well-being, assist in times of need, and ensure a safe and secure campus environment for all.
