Studies show that attention to student health and wellbeing is a key component to supporting student academic success. For nine months of the year, Syracuse University is our students’ home away from home. As such, we take seriously the responsibility to foster a safe and supportive campus atmosphere for all and to provide services that are robust enough to support students’ physical, emotional and social well-being.
Barnes Center at The Arch Recreation provides a valuable outlet for stress relief, for promoting good physical health, and for fostering a sense of community and building connections through shared recreational interests. Barnes Center Health Care ensures that students have a place to turn when they need medical attention. Barnes Center Counseling and Barnes Center Health Promotion provide a range of services to promote student well-being, assist in times of need, and ensure a safe and secure campus environment for all.
