At the request of a faculty member, the dean may grant a temporary full- or part-time appointment after the date of retirement. Such appointments must be approved by the appropriate college or school committee that normally considers appointments and promotions. Such appointments are made on a year-to-year basis and must also be approved by the appropriate academic dean.
