2.22 Educational Background

All promotions above the rank of instructor ordinarily presume the doctorate or, in fields where the doctorate is not a normal requirement, the appropriate degree for accomplishment as determined by the school or college involved.

The title of Assistant Teaching Professor, Associate Teaching Professor, or Teaching Professor is given to full-time, non-tenure track faculty and implies appropriate qualifications and appropriate educational degrees.
