Supplementary compensation refers to any salary or wage payments other than the academic base salary.
On-load teaching assignments are made as part of base salary. Some off-load assignments may be made with no additional compensation. Other assignments may be made on an overload basis, with extra compensation determined in each specific case.
The relatively few situations in which extra compensation is requested during the academic year are handled using a Request for Additional Payment form (RAP).
